On Tuesday, we live tweeted a seminar for our team members given by ADP about the impact of Healthcare Reform for us and our clients. There were several interesting take-aways:

  • The delivery of healthcare services cost goes up about 1% per month on average.
  • Starting in 2016, companies with 50-100 employees will be categorized as a small business, and will be required to meet the same regulations as companies with 0-49 employees.
  • The Employer “Pay or Play” mandate penalties and reporting requirements for employers of 50+ full time employees are delayed until 2015.
  • The Excise Tax or “Cadillac Tax” on high value plans goes into effect in 2018.
