Longtime readers of the blog are aware of PKF Texas’ involvement as founder and accountants for the FastTech 50 awards.

This year we’re doing more than just the luncheon, we’re launching the FastTech 50 Technology Conference.

It is not just a one-day conference, but a high-energy, social gathering with CEOs, exhibits, awards and a tech savvy speaker and author, Erik Qualman. Qualman is the founder of Socialnomics and the author of Socialnomics: How social media transforms the way we live and do business. With almost 3 million views on YouTube, chances are you’ll know his video and have seen him in interviews in BusinessWeek, The New York Times, WSJ, Mashable, USA Today, Financial Times, Forbes, Fortune, CBS Nightly News and The Huffington Post. A lucky few VIPs will have the chance to meet him in person. (see below).

The schedule for the new conference is as follows:

  • 9:00 am – CEO Technology Leadership Forum – includes four Houston tech CEOs talking insights into their positioning and how they are keeping their company ahead.
  • 10:00 am – Technopalooza- Over 25 exhibits will be on display from 10:00am -2:00pm.
  • 12:00 pm – Fast Tech 50 Awards Luncheon and Keynote – The Fast Tech 50 Awards are presented to the 50 fastest-growing Houston-area high-tech businesses ranked by percentage of revenue growth in 2010. Here is where we reveal their rankings and they will receive a crystal mouse on stage, but right before the winners are announced, we get to hear from Erik Qualman.
  • 2:00 pm – VIP Speaker Spotlight – Meet Erik Qualman during a champagne reception after the Fast Tech 50 awards. This is your chance to purchase Erik’s book, get his signature and ask him questions.

This is not your everyday conference… join us for an energizing day of tech. For more information visit the Houston Business Journal event website or contact Lee Ann Semmel.
