Greg: This is PKF Texas, the Entrepreneur’s Playbook. I’m Greg Price, Director of Consulting Solutions and I’m here again with John Kleb, Director of Operations for Sikich Technology, LLP and a member of the NAVX Management Committee. John, welcome back to the Playbook.
John: Thanks, Greg.
Greg: John, last time you were here, we kind of did an intro on NAVX, which is this distribution software that our companies represent, install, and implement along with some other partners around the country. What are some of the specific features or capabilities that an owner-operator would really like to hear or see when they have a package like this?
John: Number one, top of mind is the fully-integrated solution. It’s all of the answers in one place; all of the data in one place; very easy to service.
Greg: So are there any other features that we might highlight for them or key attributes for competitive advantage for them?
John: Well, rapid deployment would be a plus and typical distribution environment ERP in the middle market is 9 to 12 month deployment and we are working at 2 to 4 months in a cycle and working to reduce that even further.
Greg: Sounds pretty good. Now, is this thing competitively priced, this NAVX software?
John: Competitively? It is as a likeable price, Greg.
Greg: Well, I know they’ll like to hear that. That’s always the first question on everybody’s mind. So John, you’ve seen the software; I’ve seen the software. We’ve been working with some clients. What are some of your favorite attributes of the package that you like?
John: Well, container management to begin with and certainly logistics, end-to-end logistics, air, ground, all of it, shipping and packing. Inventory management, costing and there is a lot more.
Greg: Well John, I think we’re gonna have to have you back ’cause it sounds like there’s a lot more attributes we wanna go over in the future. Will you join us?
John: I’d love to come back, Greg.
