Zeta Docs in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 Creates Efficiency

Russ: This is PKF Texas, The Entrepreneur’s Playbook. I’m Russ Capper, sitting in once again for Greg Price, the Director of Consulting Solutions at PKF Texas, because Greg is my guest today. Greg welcome back to the Playbook.

Greg: Russ it’s great to be back.

Russ: Well you’ve been updating us recently on upgrades and improvements to NAV. We talked about mobility. We talked about workflow. Is there anything else?

Greg: Russ there’s always something else.

Russ: Okay.

Greg: Microsoft never rests. And at PKF Texas we don’t either. So we always have something else to talk about. And today I’d like to talk to you a little bit about electronic documents. One of the things that customers express frustration with with their business applications is the number of steps and processes they have to go through to send something to a client or a vendor that’s electronic. And that’s created what I would call a lot of unnecessary steps and work and just really very time consuming, very inefficient. Well with the new release of NAV 2013 there is a product that we have inside the application called Zeta Docs.

And what this product does is allows for electronic documents to be automatically routed and sent in conjunction with your e-mail merely by clicking on invoice and posting. In the example of a customer, rather than printing the invoice in a PDF and finding a place to set it and then attach it to an e-mail, in NAV 2013 now, with Zeta Docs turn one, when you hit “post” and “invoice” it automatically sends it to the customer and then drops it into a SharePoint folder for further analysis by the internal company themselves.

Russ: Greg, that sounds real cool. I wish I had that in some of my applications that I use.

Greg: Well we all wish we had that, that’s for sure. And this is a major step forward in terms of efficiency and creating a greater return on the investment for the potential customer.

Russ: Wow, do you think they’ll be more to NAV 2013?

Greg: Yep there’s always something else Russ.

Russ: All right, really cool. This has been another Thought Leader Production brought to you by PKF Texas, The Entrepreneur’s Playbook®. Tune in next week for another chapter.
